The I Can Compose platform keeps the student at the centre of all the courses. Each course is designed to be clear and split into easily manageable lessons.
How to use I Can Compose
Teacher Plan (one user)
Our Teacher Access Plan give single user access to all courses and teachers resources for 12 months. The courses can be used for teacher led classroom lessons, or as ready made lessons to help create your own custom lesson plans. Teachers resources include classroom aids, downloadable listening packs and classroom posters.
Classroom Plan (multiple users)
The Classroom Access Plan allows teachers to purchase individual access for each student in your class. Each account provides 12 months access to all current and new courses on the I Can Compose platform, allowing them tio work at their own page. This frees up teachers time for where it’s needed most. Seat allocation is managed by the teacher on the platform.

Our courses are not affiliated to any particular qualification. They are centred around exploring and teaching compositional techniques which are the same regardless of curriculum or exam board.
GCSE & equivalent
For the learner set brief composition, students can choose their course content for clear guidance and inspiration. For those working on the board set brief composition, our technical courses provide detailed instructions and guidance in developing musical ideas, using compositional devices and structuring a composition effectively.
A-Level and equivalent
Our courses include a ‘take it further’ section to guide more advanced students in how to include further compositional techniques.
IB MYP 4 & 5 and DP
MYP 4 & 5 and DP students composing for a portfolio or assessed component as part of a programme of inquiry, can use our courses as guidance for practically exploring different techniques, styles and genres.
